What is the 5 Star Passport Program?

This program is designed to help you get the most out of your CDCC Membership by staying involved and engaged.

Every individual who completes a passport will receive a 5 Star Member pin. Once one individual from an organization achieves 5 Star status that organization will be recognized as a 5 Star Member in several of our publications, at our annual Awards for Excellence Dinner, and on our website. It’s all about engagement!

How it works:

Beginning June 1, 2016, all CDCC members and their employees are eligible to participate in this program. All you have to do is complete a 5 Star Member Passport.

– New members (joined after 1/1/16) must complete a New Member Passport. (Passports are included in welcome packets and are available upon request.)

– Current members (joined before 1/1/16) must complete a Current Member Passport. (Click here to download.)

Passports will be available at all CDCC events upon request or for pick-up at our office.

FAQ

Q: How long do I have to complete my passport?

A: All passports must be completed within one year of starting them. Example: If you complete your first task by attending the August mixer, all 4 other tasks must be completed by the following August. If tasks are not completed within 1 year, passports will reset and you’ll have to complete the tasks again.

Q: I joined the CDCC in December of 2015. Which passport do I need to complete?

A: You’ll complete a Current Member Passport. Any members who joined on or after January 1, 2016 will need to complete a New Member Passport.

Q: Can I count past activities and/or sponsorships?

A: No. Since this is a new program of the CDCC, all tasks must have been completed after June 1, 2016.

Q: I’m completing a New Member Passport, but I’ve already attended an orientation, submitted my New Member Spotlight Article, and/or held my Ribbon Cutting earlier in 2016. Because all tasks must be completed after June 1, 2016, does this mean I have to complete these again?

A: No. Any member who joined between January 1, 2016 and May 31, 2016 will be grandfathered in to this program. So if you’ve already attended an orientation meeting, submitted your New Member Spotlight Article, and/or held your Ribbon Cutting, you will receive credit for having already completed the tasks accordingly. However, you will still need to complete the other tasks on your passport in order to achieve 5 Star Status.

Q: My organization has many employees. If I complete a passport, do all employees receive 5 Star recognition & a lapel pin?

A: No. Only 1 individual has to complete a passport in order for an organization to receive 5 Star member recognition. However, in order to receive a lapel pin, every employee has to complete a passport. *see notes above for more details.

Q: My organization already had a Business Brags visit with Lori & Kristi before this program began. Do I have to complete another one?

A: No. Business Brags began in January 2016, so anyone who completed one before this passport program began will receive credit for this task.

Q: When will I receive my 5 Star pin after I complete my passport?

A: We will begin presenting pins at our July 2016 mixer and at every subsequent one thereafter.

For any other questions or to schedule your business brags visit, contact the CDCC at 302-734-7513 or email Kristi at kosborn@cdcc.net
