Throughout this COVID-19 Pandemic we have been bombarded with numbers and data. In an attempt to keep our CDCC Members and the Central Delaware Community up to date, but not overwhelmed, we have decided to focus on the primary number that we have been tracking since the beginning of the pandemic – the hospitalization number.

So, each day on our Facebook page and on our Daily Bulletin E-News – you will find the current hospitalization number.

We are fortunate here in Delaware -- our current hospitalization number is 277.

This number shows that Delaware is SAFE and FUN! Come out and support our local businesses - They have missed you!☺️

With the holiday season fast approaching, we are asking all the residents of Central Delaware to support our businesses: Be Loyal – Shop Local – Eat Local! We all need to remember that it is our business community that makes our county unique and helps to define our quality of life. Our businesses are significant threads in the tapestry that makes Kent County – Kent County!

After so many months of shutdowns and limited capacities due to the pandemic, it is more important than ever to re-discover the small businesses right in our area and explore all they have to offer. They are, after all, the backbone of our economy.

Let’s make it a habit to shop local first. Patronize the boutiques and specialty shops right here in our hometown. Eat at local restaurants owned by local people. Spend your money locally as often as possible. Enjoy all things local.

Let’s join together this Holiday Season to support all things local. It’s a trend worth starting!
