Legislative Luncheon
Taxes… minimum wage… health care costs… the legalization of marijuana… workforce development… are all examples of issues that could have serious implications for Central Delaware’s business community.
The Legislative Luncheon, presented by the CDCC’s Legislative Affairs committee, will give guests an opportunity to meet our Kent County Senators and Representatives, and participate in an open dialogue concerning business issues, while also providing our legislators with an opportunity to hear first-hand from the business community about the impact legislation will have on their businesses. During the event, members of the Legislative Affairs Committee will ask pertinent questions of the gathered lawmakers regarding the issues that make up the CDCC’s legislative agenda (ie. minimum wage, workers compensation, taxes, paid family leave, the legalization of marijuana, etc.).
