CDCC Committees
It is the purpose of the Ambassador to serve as an official representative of the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce. Responsibilities include participation in a variety of programs and activities.
Leadership Central Delaware Steering Committee – Chair: Janie Libby, Class of 2012
Leadership Central Delaware brings together current and emerging leaders to develop diverse networks of resourceful, informed and pro-active leaders who will create a more vibrant county and region. This steering committee consists of alumni from the program, selected by their class members, who have first-hand knowledge of the impact of LCD and a passion for its mission.

Legislative Affairs Committee– Chair: C. Scott Kidner, C.S. Kidner Associates/Capitol Strategies
The Legislative Affairs Committee’s goal is to take a proactive position in government affairs. It formulates positions on municipal, county and state legislation and regulations and strongly advocates support for the positions that are established. The Legislative Affairs Committee is also responsible for hosting two annual events: Capital Briefing Week and the Legislative Luncheon.
Marketing Committee – Chair: Jennifer Sutter, Bayhealth Medical Center
The Marketing Committee is the official “think tank” for the CDCC when it comes to program development and marketing special CDCC events/programs. The committee oversees membership surveys and assists the Chamber’s Marketing Director with promoting the organization.

Military Affairs Committee – Chair: Evans Armantrading, Jr., CNU Fit
The Military Affairs Committee supports a variety of activities that support our military community in Kent County. The committee hosts three events annually: the Military Affaire Reception, the Bluesuiters Golf Tournament, and the State of the Base Briefing Breakfast.
Transportation Committee
The Transportation Committee works closely with the Delaware Dept. of Transportation, the Dover/Kent County Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Delaware Transportation Management Association. The committee continually focuses on wider transportation and infrastructure issues.

The 55+ Expo targets one of Delaware’s most important and growing markets with vendors, seminars and entertainment geared to the over 55 population.
Annual Holiday Gift Auction Committee
The Annual Holiday Gift Auction is the CDCC’s largest fundraising showcasing 150+ member’s products and services in a silent and live auction!

What could be more fun than helping to plan a holiday party?! Food, Fun and Entertainment. Participation is an important piece of the big picture!
Excellence in Business Award Committee – Chair: Lisa Hastings, Faw Casson
The CDCC bestows one of its highest awards to fellow CDCC members in 3 different categories – Small Business of the Year, Large Employer of the Year, and Young Professional of the Year. Nominated and voted upon by the CDCC membership, these awards recognize people from each category whom you see as being the most outstanding in terms of growth, innovation, and community contribution. This committee is made up of previous award winners!
