  1. Membership:

    A.The Chamber staff has the responsibility for membership recruitment and retention. A 
        Membership Committee, Ambassador's Committee and a membership campaign helps
        achieve membership goals.
     
  2. Central Delaware Information Book: Sandra Dale, Editor

    A. Continue to publish the Annual Central Delaware Information Book in early summer.
     
  3. Continue publicity as a staff function, promoting our Chamber members and activities through newspaper, radio and television throughout the state.
     
  4. Chamber Connections: Sandra Dale, Editor

    A. Continue as a staff function.

    B. Strive to publish more information of importance to the small business person; seminars, 
          training classes, legislative updates, etc. Utilize members wherever possible to provide
          information important to their business.

    C. Continue to publish the Chamber Connections paid solely by advertisements.

    D. Continue to run monthly profiles for new members.
     
  5. Continue the health insurance program to pro-vide high quality, cost effective insurance to members. 
     
  6. Excellence in Business: James A. Flood, Sr., Chairman.

    A. Continue to support the rights and privileges of small businesses.

    B. Through membership nominations and voting, select the "Corporation Of The Year"
          and the "Entrepreneur of the Year" in Central Delaware.
     
  7. Seminars.
    The Chamber will offer seminars covering topics that will be informative and useful to our members. When possible, Chamber members will be used as presenters.
     
  8. Membership Benefits.
    Many Chamber members offer discounts on products and services. Other benefits include discounted phone rates, free subscription to Delaware Today magazine, health insurance, and free business cards when you join the organization.

    A. Continue to seek quality benefits to increase the value of Chamber membership.
     
  9. Power Networks.
    Schedule networking sessions prior to a Sunset Business Mixer whenever possible.
     
  10. Roundtable Discussions.
    Assemble a group of CEOs and Managers for the purpose of discussing topics of interest.
     
  11. Association of Chambers of Commerce of Delaware.
    Established in 1995 to enable all Chambers in the State of Delaware to participate in projects and legislation of mutual interest.
     
  12. Radio Program.
    Continue weekly programs of interest to local businesses on WDDV/WDSD Radio.
     
  13. Computer Web Site.
    Improve the Chamber web site for easy access to information on the area and promotion of Chamber members. Promote the ability for Chamber members, for a reason-able cost, to be accessed through the Chamber's web site.
     
  14. Marketing Committee. Lee Thompson. Chairman.
    Provide public awareness of the Chamber and its members.

    A. Improve promotion of Chamber members and events.

    B. Seek opportunities for media coverage and feature stories on Chamber activities.

    C. Coordinate the Holiday Gift Auction.
     
  15. Leadership Central Delaware. Dina Vendetti, Chair.
    The scope of the Leadership Central Delaware program has been expanded to increase the value for participants.

    A. Implement the LCD Alumni Association and Mastery Level program.
     
  16. NationJob.
    A partnership with NationJob enables companies to recruit employees through the Internet.
