- 55+ Active Adult Expo.
This annual trade show focuses on the growing 55 and over market and is scheduled for May 2010 at Dover Downs Hotel & Conference Center.
- Allen S. HedgeGolf Tournament.
Wayne Dabson, Chairman. Hold the annual Allen S. Hedgecock Memorial on September 24, 2009 at Wild Quail Country Club.
- Christmas Party.
This year's annual Christmas party will be held at Modern Maturity Center on December 3, 2009.
- Sunset Business Mixers.
Continue to hold monthly membership Mixers at member businesses.
- Big Boys Toys Show.
Help promote area businesses to over 5,000 attendees and 1,000 BBQ competitors & judges. Event held in conjunction with the Diamond State BBQ on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Dover International Speedway®.
- Caroling On The Green.
Continue to co-sponsor the event with the City of Dover to be held December 9, 2009. Collect canned foods for the needy and distribute to local pantries.
- Annual Holiday Gift Auction
Continue to hold the auction to raise money for Chamber projects. This year's event will take place on October 28, 2009 at the Sheraton Dover Hotel.
- Annual Night At The Races.
This event will be held at Harrington Raceway on October 19, 2009 for Chamber members and guests.
- Wine Festival Preview Night.
A fund raiser will be combined with an established event held at Dover Downs in November 2009 for Chamber members and guests.
- Greater Dover Partnership, Paul Lakeman, President.
Continue to work together with Main Street Dover to improve the climate of the downtown business district and the relationship between the two groups.
- Greater Dover Committee.
The president serves as an honorary member working to strengthen support for Dover businesses and residents.
- Liaison.
Continue working with the City of Dover, Kent County Levy Court, the Delaware Economic Development Office, Dover Air Force Base, and other local governments.
- Membership Activities.
Activities will continue to be held through-out FY '10 and events will continue publishing the activities in the calendar of events in the Chamber Connections and website.
- Volunteers.
Continue the utilization of volunteers whenever and wherever possible.
