Chamber Committees, hard at work for you!
Joining a committee and taking an active role is a great way to be involved in YOUR Chamber and have a voice in the future.
Ambassador Committee – Chair: Susan Miller, Sales Solutions
The Ambassador Committee is part of the overall membership effort. Ambassadors are assigned to new members as mentors to help them get acclimated, acquainted and involved with the Chamber, its programs and its existing members. Ambassadors meet & greet new members at Chamber functions to be that friendly face for the new members. Each month, Ambassadors take various roles at the Sunset Business Mixers. The Ambassador Committee meets ½ hour before each mixer and holds quarterly meetings. Call for the next meeting date!
Leadership Central Delaware Steering Committee – Chair: Dina Vendetti, St. John’s Lutheran School
Leadership Central Delaware brings together current and emerging leaders to develop diverse networks of resourceful, informed and pro-active leaders who will create a more vibrant county and region. This steering committee consists of alumni from the program.
Legislative Affairs– Chair: C. Scott Kidner, C.S. Kidner & Associates
The Legislative Affairs Committee’s goal is to take a proactive position in government affairs. It formulates positions on municipal, county and state legislation and regulations and strongly advocates support for the positions that are established. Call for the next meeting date!
Marketing Committee – Chair: Sean Holden, WSFS Bank Commercial Division
The Marketing Committee’s mission is to promote its activities as well as general business issues. The committee oversees membership surveys and assists the Chamber’s Membership Director with marketing the organization. This committee also organizes the CDCC Auction in October. Meetings are the third Tuesday of each month at 12:00pm held at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino at the Festival Buffet.
Military Affairs – Chair: Dean Blaha, North American Energy Service
The Military Affairs Committee supports a variety of activities that support our military community in Kent County. Call for the next meeting date!
Transportation Committee – Chair: Frank Fantini, Fantini Research
The Transportation Committee works closely with the Delaware Dept. of Transportation, the Dover/Kent County Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Delaware Transportation ManagementAssociation. The committee continually focuses on wider transportation and infrastructure issues. Call for the next meeting date!

Leadership Central Delaware
Leadership Central Delaware brings together current and emerging leaders to develop diverse networks of resourceful, informed and pro-active leaders who will create a more vibrant county and region. This is a ten-month program that focuses on a variety of topics. Selection is based upon an individual’s desire for involvement in community leadership and Leadership Central Delaware’s goal of bringing together diverse leaders. New Class of 2009 starts in September – Call for an application today!
Seminar Program
Seminars are held at the CDCC Building from 8:00am – 9:30am on various timely topics that affect businesses in Central DE. They are hosted by chamber members for fellow chamber members and are free to attend. You can host a seminar to showcase your services or products which would benefit other members for $100 and the CDCC will do the promotions and registration. Please contact us today to schedule one!

Excellence in Business Award Committee – Chair: James Flood, Sr.
The CDCC bestows one of its highest awards to fellow CDCC members in three different categories – Small Business, Corporation & Entrepreneur of the Year. Nominated and voted upon by the CDCC membership, these awards recognize people from each category whom you see as being the most outstanding in terms of growth, innovation, and community contribution. 55+ Active Adult Expo – Chair: Donna Goldsborough, Bayhealth Medical Center
The 55+ Expo targets one of Delaware’s most important and growing markets with vendors, seminars and entertainment geared to the over 55 population. Call to get involved with this committee!
ASH Golf Classic Committee – Chair: John Evans, Creative Logo Apparel
The Chamber’s annual golf tournament gives a scholarship to benefit children & teens whom want to learn the game of golf but cannot afford to. It is in the memory of Allen S. Hedgecock, Executive Vice President of the Central Delaware Chamber from 1979-2001. Call to get involved with this committee!
